Dr. Babin is a licensed psychologist (PSY28354) located in Marin County, serving the San Francisco Bay area, the greater Los Angeles area and other parts of California via in-person and secure video sessions. She completed advanced training in psychoanalytic psychotherapy at LAISPS (2014), which deepened her understanding of how early experiences, unconscious patterns, and relational dynamics shape our lives. As an AACAST-certified couples and sex therapist (2025), Dr. Babin trained in evidence-based approaches to help partners build secure, satisfying connections. Our practice supports couples, individual adults, teens/tweens and their families.

Loneliness is something many carry quietly—and sometimes it drives us to seek connection in places that leave us feeling even more empty. In a world that’s more digitally connected than ever, real-life closeness and meaningful relationships can feel harder to find. The quick hits of attention or validation we find online can offer a momentary escape, but they rarely meet the deeper need for closeness and belonging. Therapy offers a private, supportive space to explore what’s often left unspoken, build confidence in relating to others, and develop the skills to form deeper, more authentic connections.

What we don’t repair, we are destined to repeat. Even the most loving relationships can feel stormy at times. Patterns from the past can quietly resurface, leaving frustration, distance, or doubt. We believe these moments of tension are also invitations—to pause, reflect, and deepen your connection.
Drawing on Allan Schore’s Right Brain Psychotherapy (AACAST), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and Gottman couples therapy, we help partners understand each other’s experiences, communicate with clarity, and uncover how past experiences shape present dynamics. Together, we break unhelpful cycles and create space for growth, intimacy, and renewed closeness. The result is often unexpected: a spark rekindled, mutual understanding deepened, and a relationship alive with curiosity, playfulness, and passion—where both partners feel truly seen, valued, and connected.

Our community can be a hurtful and marginalizing place for people exploring or affirming their identity. We provide therapy that honors the whole person, supporting clients in understanding themselves and their experiences. This approach addresses societal pressures and bias, helping clients build resilience, navigate challenges, and explore new ways of living authentically. We offer a safe, supportive space for self-discovery—for anyone reflecting on their identity, pursuing personal growth, or seeking guidance for themselves or family members—regardless of age or background.
