Erin Chalfant, PsyD (c) is completing her doctorate in Counseling Psychology at Pacifica Graduate Institute in Santa Barbara, and is under the supervision of Anne Babin, PsyD.

Erin is a Psychological Associate in California specializing in work with young adults, women, and mothers navigating anxiety, depression, loss, and major life transitions. Her dissertation explores practices that integrate depth and meaning-making practices with highly sensitive and neurodivergent individuals.

Rooted in depth psychotherapy, Erin’s clinical orientation blends psychodynamic, relational, and transpersonal approaches. She incorporates creative and art-based methods, dreamwork, and archetypal pattern recognition, along with somatic modalities such as EMDR, Hakomi, breathwork, and parts work. She also has clinical experience in ketamine-assisted psychotherapy (KAP) and integration work for plant medicines.

Erin’s work is grounded in cultural sensitivity, inclusivity, and systemic awareness. She supports deeply transformative work in relationships, parenting, and gender-fluid psychology, helping clients navigate the compound stresses of modern life with compassion and embodied presence.

Guided by a lifelong curiosity about the healing traditions of the world, Erin has studied and facilitated ceremony and plant medicine in Colombia, Barcelona, and Vancouver. She weaves together more than 20 years of experience teaching, writing, mentoring, and leading ceremony, and is also a mother of two children. Her narrative nonfiction book, The Other Side of the River (Womancraft Publishing, 2016), reflects her devotion to listening deeply and illuminating the patterns that shape our individual and collective stories.
